Salary: $15.65 to $18.00 per hour for 40 to 80 hours per week
Employment Type: Full time
Location: Abbotsford, BC
Shifts: Day, Flexible Hours
Work Site Environment: Broiler and other meat-type chicken production, Other miscellaneous crop farming, Outdoors, Wet/damp, Cold/refrigerated
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or Spanish Language.
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as a high school, bachelor’s degree, a certificate or a diploma
Experience: Candidates need an experience of 7 months to 1 year
Type of Crops: Cucumbers, Raspberries, Strawberries, Sweet corn
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads and pay attention to detail
- The candidate should have the ability to distinguish between colors and work for overtime hours
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Hand harvesting vegetables and Hoeing crops
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Vegetable culling and Harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for market
