Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Overtime, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Staff accommodation provided
Type of crops: Apples, Bell peppers, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Cherries, Cucumbers, Garlic, Melons, Onions, Strawberries, Sweet corn, and Tomatoes
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be knowledgeable about fruit and vegetable combination farming as well as other miscellaneous crop farming methods
- The candidates should be familiar with the practices and techniques involved in layer poultry farming, along with other miscellaneous crop farming methods
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be flexible in their approach to work schedules and tasks
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to cultivate, irrigate, weed, prune, and trim trees and plants, as well as harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality, prepare it for the market, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, mix fertilizer, fertilize, spray crops, clip, harvest seedlings, and engage in the process of budding trees
