Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Gloves
Security and safety: Medical exam, Criminal record check, Bondable
Automated systems experience: Automated irrigation system
Product inspection experience: Grains
Equipment and machinery experience: Combine harvester, Fertilizer applicator, Farm truck, Forage equipment, Haying equipment, Loader, Planting equipment, Sprayer or duster, Seed drill, Swather, Tillage equipment, Tractor, Froklift

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
  • The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours, and sound discrimination
  • The candidates should be able to work with attention to detail
  • The candidates should be able to do dry pea and bean farming, hay farming, wheat farming, oilseed (except soybean) farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, and grain farming
  • The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
  • The candidates should be willing to for overtime
  • The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
  • The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
  • The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, and large workload
  • The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity
  • The candidates should be able to work in outdoors

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, mixing fertilizer
  • The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops, clean crops
  • The candidates should be able to harvest crops, soil fertility programs
  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
  • The candidates should be able to detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
  • The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for market
  • The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports, clean work area
