Operated by fourth-generation farmer Sam Edwards, the farm maintains a tradition of hand-harvesting its crops, ensuring premium quality. The asparagus season runs from April to July, with the farm offering fresh produce directly to consumers through their roadside stand and participation in local farmers’ markets. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Vegetable harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work outdoors, in wet and damp conditions, in dusty environments, in hot conditions, in cold or refrigerated conditions, in a fast-paced environment, and perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads, perform physically demanding tasks, and have good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours, have attention to detail, and be able to bend, crouch, and kneel
- The candidates should be able to work overtime when required, sit for extended periods, and combine sitting, standing, and walking

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops, write daily basic progress reports, and harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
