Le Potager D’Émylou inc. based in North Hatley, QC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Farm Worker, Vegetables. Le Potager D’Émylou inc. is a family business working since 2001. We are known for our love of the land and out of respect for future generations, we opted for organic farming from the beginning of the adventure. Approximately 200 families receive an organic basket and more than 15 employees are hired annually by us. We are known to grow over 40 varieties of vegetables, fragrant herbs, melons of all colors and blackberries on approximately 30 acres. The candidates who will get selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible. The position of Farm Worker, Vegetables is a green job.

Salary: $16.00 per hour for 16 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Part time
Location: North Hatley, QC
Shift: To be determined
Work Setting: Rural area, Supermarket/grocery store
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Public transportation is not available
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English or French Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualification such as secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate should be able to handle heavy loads and pay attention to detail
- The candidate should be physically demanding and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should have an efficient interpersonal skills and work in a flexible environment
- The candidate should have judgment skills and be able to work in an organized way
- The candidate should be a team player and be able to work with being focused on the client
- The candidate should have an excellent oral and written communication skills
- The candidate should be efficient and hardworking
- The candidate should be able to work with integrity and work with a positive attitude
- The candidate should be a quick learner and have time management skills
Responsibilities:
- The candidate should be able to perform tasks such as Greenhouse cleaning, Hand harvesting vegetables, Vegetable culling and Weeding
- The candidate should be able to plant, cultivate and irrigate crops also harvest crops
- The candidate should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment also locate, select and procure merchandise for resale
