Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Vegetable harvester
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to do other vegetables and melon farming (except potato)
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to work efficiently under pressure
- The candidates should be physically fit to meet the demands of the job, adept at performing repetitive tasks with precision, and capable of handling heavy loads with proper technique
- The candidates should possess excellent hand-eye coordination skills, have the ability to distinguish between colors accurately, and maintain a keen attention to detail in their work
- The candidates should be versatile in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking tasks, comfortable with tasks that involve sitting for extended periods, and flexible in performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods as part of their responsibilities and adept at walking as required for the job
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, noisy area, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be reliable, and judgmental
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, and be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to hoe crops
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
- The candidates should be able to perform vegetable culling
- The candidates should be able to weed
- The candidates should be able to fertilize and spray crops
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for the market
