Salary: $16.75 hourly for 40 to 84 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Delta, BC
Shifts: To be determined
Work setting: Rural area and remote location
Type of crops: Asparagus, cabbage, and cucumbers
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work in other vegetable and melon farming (except potato) and be comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to work in hot conditions as required for the role
- The candidates should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and be capable of handling repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure and handle heavy loads while being physically capable of meeting demanding tasks
- The candidates should have hand-eye coordination and demonstrate attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should possess sound discrimination skills and be adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime when required and able to walk for extended periods
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand harvest vegetables and harvest crops effectively
- The candidates should also be capable of examining produce for quality and preparing it for the market
