Salary: $15.60 hourly for 80 to 90 hours bi-weekly

Location: 98 mud lake road Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL A0P 1E0
Shifts: Overtime, Early Morning, 07:00 to 16:00
Work setting: Staff accommodation available, Remote location, and Willing to relocate
Type of crops: Blueberries, Cabbage, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Onions, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Zucchinis, Potatoes, and Vegetables
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Carrot seeder, Farm truck, Tractor, Manure spreader, Sprayer or duster, Tillage equipment, and Hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, able to work in or on water, and tolerant of wet or damp conditions
- The candidates should be able to work in environments with odors, dusty conditions, and hot environments
- The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated conditions and willing to work in dirty environments
- The candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently
- The candidates should excel at working under pressure and be able to safely handle heavy loads
- The candidates should thrive in meeting tight deadlines and have good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should demonstrate a strong attention to detail in their work and be able to stand for extended periods as needed
- The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling when necessary and willing to work overtime as required
- The candidates should be comfortable with sitting for extended periods if necessary and adaptable to a combination of sitting, standing, and walking tasks
- The candidates should be capable of walking as part of their regular job duties

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean crops, grade, and hand harvest vegetables
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, perform vegetable culling, and weed
- The candidates should be able to write daily basic progress reports, harvest crops, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, and examine produce for quality and prepare for the market
