Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with repetitive tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and physically capable of meeting demanding requirements
- The candidates should possess manual dexterity, demonstrate attention to detail, and have good hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- The candidates should be able to work in noisy and dusty environments
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have excellent written communication skills and excellent oral communication skills
- The candidates should be team players
- The candidates should exhibit resourcefulness and flexibility
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate machinery to process and bag, box, or otherwise package food products, perform corrective machine adjustments, and record production information
- The candidates should be able to observe gauges, computer printouts, and video monitors to verify specified processing conditions, clean machines and immediate work areas, and inform supervisors of mechanical malfunctions or product irregularities
- The candidates should be able to make adjustments to process variables, maintain a shift log of production and other data, and set up and adjust processing and packaging machines
- The candidates should be able to check products for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards
