Salary: $15.81 to $21.22 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week

Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Equipment and machinery experience: Fish canning and cooking machine, Fish cleaning and cutting machine and Fish products machine
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be adaptable to noisy working environments and tolerant of various odours in the workplace
- The candidates should be able to work in both hot and cold/refrigerated conditions and be comfortable with wet/damp working conditions
- The candidates should be adept at handling repetitive tasks and capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should possess physical stamina to meet demanding job requirements, demonstrating excellent manual dexterity
- The candidates should exhibit proficient hand-eye coordination and a keen attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be flexible in performing tasks that involve bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be open to working overtime as required
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be equipped with efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing work situations
- The candidates should be reliable in fulfilling job responsibilities while being effective team players, collaborating seamlessly with colleagues
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood before marketing or further processing, scraping away scales, separating fillets, and removing scrap parts with a knife
- The candidates should be able to check fish fillets for optimal number and size, cut sections according to specifications, and place them in a container for weighing
- The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for defects, ensuring conformance to company standards, and performing corrective machine adjustments as required
- The candidates should be able to record production information, set up, and operate machines to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products
- The candidates should be able to set up and operate machines for cleaning, cutting, cooking, smoking, brining, dehydrating, or otherwise processing fish or seafood products
