Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working in noisy environments and tolerant of odors
• The candidates should be accustomed to dusty conditions and able to work in cold/refrigerated environments
• The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp conditions
• The candidates should be prepared for repetitive tasks, capable of handling heavy loads, and ready for physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should demonstrate manual dexterity, possess attention to detail, and exhibit effective hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling, and be willing to work overtime as required

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and display flexibility in their approach
• The candidates should be reliable in meeting commitments and be team players

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to cut, clean, and trim fish or seafood prior to marketing or further processing, scraping away scales, cutting fish, separating fillets, and removing scrap parts using a knife
• The candidates should be able to check fish fillets, determine the optimal number and size of fillet sections, cut sections according to specifications, and place them in a container for weighing
• The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for defects, ensure conformance to company standards, and perform corrective machine adjustments as required
• The candidates should be able to disjoint and remove meat from lobsters or other crustaceans preparatory to canning or further processing, record production information, and set up and operate machines to can, bag, box, or otherwise package fish and seafood products
• The candidates should be able to set up and operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate, or otherwise process fish or seafood products, clean machines and immediate work areas, and unload fish and shellfish from fishing vessels
• The candidates should be able to transport fish by hand or forklift truck to the work area, weigh fish or shellfish, record weight, pack fish in ice, and sort fish according to species, weight, and destination
