Salary: $20.00 hourly for 30 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Morell, PE
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Flexible Hours, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Mussel sites (land/barge)
Type of fishing: Mussel socking and harvesting

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, handle heavy loads, and perform physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and work outdoors
• The candidates should be able to work in cold or refrigerated conditions

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to prepare nets, lines and other fishing tackle, operate fishing gear to catch fish and other marine life, and clean, sort and pack fish in ice and stow catch in hold
• The candidates should be able to clean deck surfaces and fish hold and steer vessels to and from fishing areas

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
