Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language, having the knowledge of the French language is an asset.
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as completion of secondary education
Experience: Candidates need a minimum of 2 years of previous experience working with the public in a customer service role

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to identify hazardous or potentially hazardous situations and take appropriate action to maintain a safe environment for self and others and also work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals
  • The candidate should be able to provide service excellence to internal and/or external customers (passengers) and also deal with situations and issues proactively and persistently, seizing opportunities that arise
  • The candidate should be able to focus efforts on achieving high-quality results consistent with the organization’s standards and also listen and communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully with different audiences, promoting dialogue and building consensus
  • The candidate should be a minimum of 19 years of age at the time of employment
  • The candidate must hold a current, valid Canadian Passport, or current, valid International Passport with a current US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D) and also have the ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC) and successfully complete the company screening process
  • The candidate should have the ability to meet required medical standards (including a drug test) and also the flight attendants may be called to work at short notice and therefore must be able to reach the airport within the 2 hours of callout
  • The candidate must successfully complete a 5-week full-time training program and also must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should report to the Manager, of In-Flight Services and also be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of Porter passengers while consistently delivering the brand promise of Flying Refined
  • The candidate should be able to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and also effortlessly deliver friendly and attentive service to maintain passenger comfort
  • The candidate should be able to adhere to trained Standard Operating Procedures consistent with Transport Canada and Porter policies and also tactfully manage unforeseen operational and passenger situations
  • The candidate should be able to actively monitor the general condition of the aircraft cabin and adjust accordingly to maintain passenger safety and/or improve the passenger experience and also exemplify the Porter Values
  • The candidate should be able to develop and maintain a positive relationship with team members and also actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including, reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply, and promote the Company Safety Policy
