Position: Floorhand – oil and gas drilling

Salary: $31.00 to $41.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 to 44 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Red Deer, AB
Transportation information: Valid driver’s license, willing to travel, willing to travel regularly, willing to travel for extended periods, drive manual transmission vehicle, and willing to travel overnight
Work setting: Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Own tools/equipment: Safety equipment/gear, steel-toed safety boots, gloves, hard hat, and ear plugs
Credentials: Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, Standard First Aid Certificate, and Driver’s License (Class 3 or D)
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract) and eligible for professional liability insurance
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in various conditions and able to work at heights safely
- The candidates should be prepared to handle dangerous tasks with appropriate precautions and able to concentrate and perform tasks efficiently in noisy environments
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, capable of handling heavy loads, and physically able to handle demanding tasks
- The candidates should possess strong hand-eye coordination and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, be prepared to manage a large workload, and have good manual dexterity
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others, possess efficient interpersonal skills, and exhibit reliability in fulfilling their duties
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
