Salary: $17.40 to $18.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 12 to 30 hours per week

Shifts: Evening, Shift, To be determined, Morning
Work setting: Restaurant, staff accommodation available, rural area, relocation costs not covered by employer, willing to relocate, hotel, motel, resort
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Computer and technology knowledge: Electronic cash register and point of sale system
Credentials: Food Safety Certificate and Serving It Right Certificate
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments and able to work in environments that may be hot
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks, and able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required for their job responsibilities
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods during their shifts and work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize client satisfaction and demonstrate a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills to foster effective communication and collaboration, and have excellent oral communication skills to convey information clearly and professionally
- The candidates should exhibit flexibility in adapting to changing work requirements and environments, demonstrate initiative by taking proactive steps to address challenges and improve processes, and be organized in managing tasks and responsibilities effectively
- The candidates should demonstrate reliability by consistently delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines, and be team players capable of working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages, address customers’ complaints or concerns, and present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings
- The candidates should be able to describe menu items including daily specials for customers, enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations, and advise on menu selections
- The candidates should be able to balance cash and record sales, clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, and describe and advise on wine selection
- The candidates should be able to greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages, order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, and serve food and beverages
- The candidates should be able to take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff, assist clients/guests with special needs, and provide customer service
