Work setting: Restaurant, Formal dining room, Rural area, Willing to relocate, Hotel, motel, resort

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completed college, CEGEP, or have equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Computer and technology knowledge: SQuirreL, Point of sale system

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and work effectively under pressure while being capable of lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong client focus and excel in oral communication
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in their work, be highly organized, and be known for their reliability

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages and address customers’ complaints or concerns
  • The candidates should be able to present bills to customers, accept payment in various forms, describe menu items including daily specials, advise on menu selections, and balance cash while recording sales
  • The candidates should be able to clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs, greet patrons, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions regarding food and beverages
  • The candidates should be able to order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware, serve food and beverages, take orders, relay them to kitchen and bar staff, and assist clients/guests with special needs
