Salary: $20.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Morning
Work setting: Meat processing and/or packing plant/establishment

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be tolerant of various odors and comfortable working in cold or refrigerated environments
• The candidates should be accustomed to performing repetitive tasks
• The candidates should possess manual dexterity for various tasks and demonstrate excellent hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should be capable of standing for extended periods and have a keen attention to detail
• The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• The candidates should be experienced in handling heavy loads and be physically capable of handling demanding tasks
• The candidates should be able to work efficiently under pressure and have experience with weight handling, up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should demonstrate efficient interpersonal skills
• The candidates should showcase reliability in their work and be effective team players

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to demonstrate food safety/handling skills, ensuring adherence to hygiene and safety standards in food-related tasks
• The candidates should be able to transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials, contributing to the production process
• The candidates should be able to measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing and grinding machines, following specified recipes and production requirements
• The candidates should be able to feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers, facilitating packaging processes
• The candidates should be able to provide customer service, addressing inquiries or assisting customers as needed
• The candidates should be able to remove filled containers from conveyors, ensuring the smooth flow of production
• The candidates should be able to manually pack goods into bags and boxes or other containers, maintaining proper packaging standards
• The candidates should be able to feed and unload processing machines, actively participating in production tasks
• The candidates should be able to check products and packaging for basic quality defects, ensuring the quality of the final products
• The candidates should be able to assist process control and machine operators in performing their duties, contributing to efficient production processes
• The candidates should be able to clean machines and immediate work areas, following sanitation protocols and maintaining a clean work environment
• The candidates should be able to operate machines and equipment, handling tasks related to production and processing
