Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have at 6 months experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the relevant field
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to endure constant standing, frequent walking, and occasional bending
- The candidates should be able to lift packaged meats weighing up to 25 lbs
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be familiar with the operation of a knife
- The candidates should know machine operation and the knowledge and expertise to operate a packaging machine
- The candidates should have basic reading skills, i.e., the ability to read and understand daily instruction sheets regarding the product to be prepared
- The candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate with coworkers and customers
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to assemble food service items as per standard recipes, portions, and format while maintaining a specified productivity level
- The candidates should be able to slice and weigh meat and cheese products
- The candidates should be able to package and label prepared products and display finished goods for sale
- The candidates should be able to clean and sanitize all equipment and fixture surfaces as per provincial and company/health safety standards
- The candidates should be able to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and follow standard company and provincial regulations pertaining to food safety, dress code, and sanitary procedures
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager
