Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have a secondary School (Grade 12) diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience in a food service-related industry and knowledge of food preparation an asset

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be able to lift, bend, push, pull, and stock a variety of merchandise
  • The candidates should be willing to work flexible hours if required

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and/or in a team atmosphere
  • The candidates should exhibit the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • The candidates should be capable of providing speedy, efficient, courteous, and tactful service

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to work as a Food Production Assistant to prepare food production for service within the Food Services department, following all par stocks while maintaining a hygienic work area
  • The candidates should be able to assist in stocking and cleaning of area tools when necessary
  • The candidates should be able to wash, cut, and properly store food items as per directions and/or par stocks while ensuring a clean and sanitized work area
  • The candidates should be able to ensure proper labels are utilized for items
  • The candidates should be able to stock products, sweep the area, empty garbage, and wash location dishes when required
