Salary: $22.00 hourly for 50 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Elora, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Overtime, On Call, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, Own transportation and Vehicle supplied by employer
Work setting: Rural area and Willing to relocate
Supervision: 3 to 4 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Agricultural crop service and Poultry
Equipment and machinery experience: Tractor and Forklift

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have experience in broiler and other meat-type chicken production, chicken farming, and poultry and egg production
• The candidates should have experience in corn farming, other grain farming, soybean farming, and wheat farming, and be comfortable working in dusty outdoor environments
• The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, work effectively under pressure, and be physically fit for demanding tasks
• The candidates should demonstrate attention to detail and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be organized and be a team player

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to monitor animal health and provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting
• The candidates should be able to ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, maintain work records and logs, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• The candidates should be able to perform general farm duties
