Salary: $16.95 hourly for 40 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Penticton, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Early Morning, Morning
Type of crops: Apples, Cherries, and Orchard fruit
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming and be comfortable working outdoors
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks efficiently and handle heavy loads safely
- The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks, able to stand for extended periods, and bend, crouch, and kneel as required
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors accurately
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bud trees and provide fruit tree training
- The candidates should be able to clip plants and tie plants as needed
- The candidates should be able to pick row and orchard crops, weed fields, and clean work areas
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops and examine produce for quality, preparing it for the market
