Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 5 years or more
Equipment and machinery experience: Fertilizer applicator, Sprayer or duster
Tractor, Vegetable or fruit harvester, Hand tools, Farm truck, and Forklift
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to work in tight deadlines, large workload, and ability to distinguish between colours
- The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to do manual dexterity, beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, tree and orchard fruit, harvest crops, confined spaces, and at heights
- The candidates should be able to work in wet/damp area, noisy area, odours, outdoors, hot area, dusty area, and cold/refrigerated area
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work as a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorized (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to bud trees, perform clipping, deleaf plants, provide fruit tree training, handle animals, mix fertilizer, implement soil fertility programs, perform suckering, tie plants, and weed
- The candidates should be able to provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying, or harvesting, supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, sort and pack fruits and vegetables, plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and pick row and orchard crops
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry, feed and tend to animals, and fertilize and spray crops
- The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare for the market, clean the work area, and perform cleaning of crops
