Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates should have completion of a university degree or college diploma, preferably in Chemistry, Microbiology and Food Science
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform and assist in daily quality and food safety decision-making based on established processes to ensure products meet Maple Leaf Foods’ standards and customer requirements
  • The candidates should be able to ensure product SOPs are accurate and readily available to plant staff
  • The candidates should be able to manage product holds for non-conforming products and collect relevant information to assist in determining product disposition
  • The candidates should be able to perform daily monitoring and verification tasks, including record review and on-site audits or observations, as outlined in the HACCP/QA program, and recommend corrective actions for deviations
  • The candidates should be able to conduct plant audits to ensure GMPs and plant policies are effectively implemented, participate in internal and external audits
  • The candidates should be able to assist the CFIA in completing Compliance Verification System (CVS) tasks by providing necessary records and information, participate in product traceability events and efficiently trace product using SAP
  • The candidates should be able to provide training, support, and coaching to hourly and salaried employees at all management levels to maintain and improve FSQA practices and procedures
  • The candidates should be able to prepare sensory samples and participate in sensory evaluations
