Salary: $19.00 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 50 to 60 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Charlottetown, PE
Shifts: Day, Evening, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation and valid driver’s license
Work setting: Various locations
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Garbage truck
Own tools/equipment: Gloves, safety equipment/gear, and steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to work effectively under pressure
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral communication skills and display flexibility in their approach to tasks, while also taking initiative in their work and being team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to check, lubricate, refuel, and clean equipment regularly to ensure proper functioning and longevity, while also reporting any malfunctions or issues with equipment to their supervisor promptly, allowing for timely repairs and maintenance
