Salary: $23.00 to $24.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 44 to 48 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Full time
Location: Markham, ON
Shifts: Evening, Night, Shift, Overtime
Transportation information: Driver’s abstract, Vehicle supplied by employer, Valid driver’s licence
Work setting: Various locations
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Equipment and machinery experience: Garbage truck, Salt truck, Snow transportation truck
Credentials: AZ class license, DZ class license, and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check, Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required and be prepared for the physically demanding nature of the job
- The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs) effectively
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate various vehicles and equipment and report any malfunctions to the supervisor
