Salary: $22.00 to $25.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 37.5 to 45 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Shifts: Day, Morning
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence
Type of materials: Aluminum alloys, Copper and copper alloys, Stainless steel, and Titanium and special alloys
Welding techniques: Resistance, spot or seam, Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), Gas metal arc welding (GMAW)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as other trades certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Custom fabrication, and Factory assembly
Equipment and machinery experience: Arc welding machine, Gas welding machine
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Credentials: Welder Trade Red Seal Certificate and Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads, performing physically demanding tasks
• The candidates should have manual dexterity and attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should have a client focus and possess flexibility
• The candidates should be organized and team players
• The candidates should demonstrate punctuality and be hardworking

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
