Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Asset languages: Hindi, and Panjabi
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should have experience in fruit and vegetable combination farming
• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors
• The candidates should have the ability to work independently, be willing to work overtime as required, and perform repetitive tasks
• The candidates should have good hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and be able to handle weight
• The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel, and handle a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
• The candidates should be able to handle weights up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should be flexible, organized, and reliable, as well as a team player
• The candidates should have strong values and ethics and be a quick learner

Candidate Status:

• Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to apply fertilizers, mix fertilizer, and fertilize and spray crops
• The candidates should be able to clean the crops, perform greenhouse cleaning, and clean the work area
• The candidates should be able to clear fields of wood and stones, cut agricultural crops, and hand harvest vegetables
• The candidates should be able to divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots, and pack fruits and vegetables
• The candidates should be able to grade vegetables and fruits into different grades, and sort fruits and vegetables
• The candidates should be able to dose water saturation, light, and temperature as instructed, and maintain and manage the growth of vines, vine canopy, and grapes
• The candidates should be able to pick row and orchard crops, perform seed cutting, and perform weeding
• The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and tie and secure plants
• The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry
• The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and examine products for quality and readiness for the market
