24 South Inc. based in Burford, ON is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of General farm worker – harvesting. 24 South Inc. is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction. The organization provides a safe space for various recovery groups, including Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Narcotics Anonymous (NA), and Al-Anon, hosting 18 meetings weekly with over 800 attendees. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset

The candidates should be a team player

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to apply the technique of hoeing between the row, perform greenhouse cleaning, and plant, cultivate and irrigate crops
The candidates should be able to perform weeding, fertilize and spray crops, and harvest crops
The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry, and perform general farm duties
The candidates should be able to maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings
