Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should have experience in other vegetables and melon farming (except potato) and be able to work in wet/damp conditions
- The candidates should be comfortable in noisy environments and able to work in cold/refrigerated conditions
- The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks and heavy loads, requiring them to be physically fit for demanding tasks
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be adept at walking as part of their duties, including bending, crouching, and kneeling as needed
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as part of their responsibilities
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean the crop and examine produce for quality, preparing it for the market
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, including sorting and packing fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, as well as livestock and poultry, while also maintaining a clean work area
