Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in wet/damp, noisy, dusty, hot, and cold/refrigerated conditions, particularly in potato and vegetable farming
  • The candidates should be adaptable to a fast-paced environment, capable of working under pressure, and able to perform repetitive tasks in agricultural activities
  • The candidates should be physically fit for demanding tasks in various environmental conditions, possess attention to detail in farming tasks, and have effective hand-eye coordination for precision tasks
  • The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods during agricultural work and be comfortable with tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling in the field
  • The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required in the farming industry

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and demonstrate flexibility in their approach to work
  • The candidates should exercise good judgment in their tasks and be organized individuals
  • The candidates should be team players and reliable individuals

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to perform grading tasks, hand harvest vegetables, hoe crops, and plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops
  • The candidates should be able to perform vegetable culling, weeding, fertilize and spray crops, and harvest crops
  • The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens, and detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock, and poultry
  • The candidates should be able to examine produce for quality and prepare it for the market, sort and pack fruits and vegetables, and load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, farm produce, livestock, and poultry
  • The candidates should be able to clean work areas
