Salary: $17.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week

Type of crops: Apples, Artisanal crops, Blueberries, Cherries, Field berries, Raspberries, and Strawberries
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Specialized environmental skills and knowledge
Security and safety: Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be capable of performing repetitive tasks, manage physically demanding tasks, and handle heavy loads
- The candidates should have the ability to distinguish between colors, sound discrimination skills, and attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods, and be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and be able to walk
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills and be team players
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply the technique of hoeing between the rows, hand harvest vegetables, and weed
- The candidates should be able to divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots, and examine product for quality and its readiness for the market
- The candidates should be able to mix fertilizer, fertilize and spray crops, and implement soil fertility programs
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, and operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops and apply techniques for proper crop management
