Position: General labourer – manufacturing
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $16.50 to $18.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Calgary, AB
Shifts: Overtime, 08:30 to 17:00
Transportation information: Public transportation is available
Work setting: Manufacturing and industrial plant
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently, effectively managing tasks without constant supervision, while also thriving in a fast-paced environment and adapting quickly to changing demands and priorities
- The candidates should be capable of safely handling heavy loads with proper technique and be prepared for physically demanding work assignments, exhibiting keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy
- The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of their job responsibilities, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively, including handling weights of up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should prioritize punctuality, consistently arriving on time for work and meetings, while also demonstrating dependability by fulfilling duties and commitments reliably
- The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients, and exhibit excellent oral communication abilities to convey information clearly and persuasively
- The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and tasks, as well as being team players who collaborate effectively with colleagues toward common goals
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be capable of efficiently transporting raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant, either manually or using powered equipment
- The candidates should be proficient in accurately sorting, packing, crating, and packaging materials and products
- The candidates should be able to perform various laboring and elemental activities as required, demonstrating attention to detail and efficiency throughout the process
