Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to provide exemplary customer service by adhering to the basic beliefs and values of Walmart
- The candidates should be able to maintain and zone the general merchandise area
- The candidates should be able to assist with stocking and the sale of goods
- The candidates should be able to demonstrate skills in customer service and retail
- The candidates should consider working as a General Merchandise Associate as a great way to develop skills in the retail industry
- The candidates should be able to provide excellent Customer Service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assist customers by promoting products/services, locating merchandise and making purchase decisions, resolving customer issues, and referring concerns where appropriate
- The candidates should be able to cover an assigned area(s) on the salesfloor
- The candidates should be able to zone the assigned area
- The candidates should be able to move feature merchandise to its modular home
- The candidates should be able to work recovery merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas of the store
- The candidates should be able to assist with Front End coverage
- The candidates should be able to communicate with other associates to ensure floor coverage is maintained
- The candidates should be able to contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure
- The candidates should be able to stock merchandise/picks, Downstocks if applicable. Apply product protection when required. Set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and set new shelf caps
