Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have considerable experience in the relevant field

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should have an understanding of basic vehicle maintenance
  • The candidates should have the ability to work independently
  • The candidates should have the ability to work afternoons, nights, and weekends
  • The candidates should be physically fit with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be able to perform the duties outlined within a reasonable time

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a valid “G” class Ontario driver’s license a valid “DZ” driver’s license

Responsibilities:

  • The candidate should be able to fuel, clean, disinfect, and service transit buses and other fleet vehicles
  • The candidate should be able to check engine oil, transmission fluid, coolant, washer fluid levels, and tire pressure, and report defects
  • The candidate should be able to clean the complete exterior and interior of fleet vehicles, including windows, floors, handrails, seats, and driver platforms
  • The candidate should be able to perform seasonal cleaning tasks, including cleaning engine components, interior light fixtures, ceilings, and shampooing seats
  • The candidate should be able to open and close the building and perform housekeeping tasks in the Service Center building
  • The candidate should be able to handle trash collection and disposal, sweeping, window cleaning, and pressure washing of shop floors
  • The candidate should be able to assist mechanical staff
  • The candidate should be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekdays, and weekends
