Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as college, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Area of specialization: Ornaments and accessories, Goldsmith/silversmith, Metal arts
Own tools/equipment: Tools
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours
- The candidates should be able to sit for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye co-ordination
- The candidates should be able to work in air conditioned, and non-smoking area
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be accurate
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizen and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position.
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to produce carvings from wood, stone and other materials
- The candidates should be able to manage day-to-day business operations
- The candidates should be able to design metal Jewellery, utensils, implements, wall hangings and other objects
- The candidates should be able to sell products on a retail basis
- The candidates should be able to supervise apprentices or other artisans
