Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, perform repetitive tasks, work under pressure, and handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to meet tight deadlines, handle physically demanding tasks, and have the ability to distinguish between colors
- The candidates should have attention to detail, be able to stand for extended periods, and perform bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be willing to work overtime as required, be able to sit for extended periods, and perform a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have efficient interpersonal skills, be flexible, and possess good judgment
- The candidates should be organized and team players
Candidate Status:
- Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
- International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to clean the crops, clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens, and other work areas, and divide fresh harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots
- The candidates should be able to perform greenhouse cleaning, hand harvesting of vegetables, and harvest seedlings, as well as level earth to fine grade specifications and mix fertilizers
- The candidates should be able to plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops, handle seed cutting and weeding tasks, and write daily basic progress reports while fertilizing and spraying crops
- The candidates should be able to harvest crops, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, examine products for quality and market readiness, and set and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops
