Salary: $26.00 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Burnaby, BC
Shifts: Day, Evening, Early Morning, Morning
Supervision: Staff in various areas of responsibility
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Area of specialization: Lawn care, tree service, and grounds maintenance
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage a large workload while handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding work
- The candidates should have manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to distinguish between colors, and should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be comfortable bending, crouching, and kneeling
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have initiative, good judgement, and flexibility, and should be a team player
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to direct and organize the planting of trees, gardens, and lawns, and plan and direct grounds maintenance
- The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, repair and maintain equipment, and resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
