Job Description:

Position: Groundskeeping foreman/woman
No of Vacancies: 1
Salary: $23.00 to $26.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 50 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Sherwood Park, AB
Shifts: 07:00 to 15:30
Transportation information: Valid driver’s licence, own vehicle, vehicle supplied by employer
Supervision: 1to 2 people

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of specialization: Lawn care, grounds maintenance
Equipment and machinery experience: Small engine equipment
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots 
Security and safety: Driver’s validity licence check

Physical Requirements:

• The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors, even in hot conditions
• The candidates should excel in a fast-paced environment and effectively handle heavy loads, demonstrating physical fitness for demanding tasks
• The candidates should possess manual dexterity and attention to detail, being comfortable with sitting, standing, and walking, including extended periods of standing
• The candidates should be capable of bending, crouching, and kneeling as required, showcasing adaptability to various physical positions and movements

Other Requirements:

• The candidates should prioritize client focus, demonstrating initiative and teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
• If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to plan, direct, and efficiently execute grounds maintenance activities to uphold the appearance of outdoor areas
• The candidates should accurately maintain work records and logs to track maintenance activities and resource usage effectively
• The candidates should be capable of repairing and maintaining equipment used for grounds maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and safety
• The candidates should promptly and effectively resolve work-related problems to minimize disruptions and ensure smooth operations
