Salary: $15.30 to $16.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 30 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Winnipeg, MB
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekend, Shift, Flexible Hours, To be determined, Morning, 09:00 to 21:00
Work setting: Produce department and Supermarket/grocery store

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience, training will be provided
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Bondable

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working in air-conditioned or cold/refrigerated environments
  • The candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines, being prepared for repetitive tasks and capable of handling heavy loads
  • The candidates should be physically fit to perform demanding tasks and have a keen attention to detail, expecting a combination of sitting, standing, and walking throughout the workday, including standing for extended periods and walking as necessary
  • The candidates should be able to bend, crouch, and kneel as required for the job and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) when necessary

  • The candidates should prioritize client satisfaction and possess efficient interpersonal skills
  • The candidates should demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities and exhibit flexibility in their work approach
  • The candidates should be organized in their tasks and responsibilities and reliable in fulfilling their commitments
  • The candidates should be team players, able to collaborate effectively with others

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bag, box, or parcel purchases for customers, for shipment, or delivery, and obtain articles for customers from the shelf or stockroom
  • The candidates should be able to unpack products received by the store, count, weigh, or sort items, and record incoming stock
  • The candidates should be able to stock shelves and display areas, keep stock clean and in order, and perform general cleaning duties (i.e., sweeping, mopping floors)
  • The candidates should be able to provide customer service, wrap goods, and sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products
  • The candidates should be able to portion and wrap foods, wrap or place merchandise in bags, and weigh produce and bulk foods
