Job Description:

Salary: $22.00 hourly for 30 to 40 hours per week

Shifts: Day, Early Morning, Morning
Work setting: Construction site

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Own tools/equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate should be able to work under pressure and perform repetitive tasks, while also handling heavy loads and being comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling as required
  • The candidate should uplift weight up to 45 kg (100 lbs)

Other Requirements:

  • The candidate should be dependable and reliable, while also demonstrating flexibility and organizational skills

Candidate Status:

  • Canadian citizens and permanent or temporary foreign workers of Canada are eligible for this position
  • International Candidates who don’t have a valid Canadian work permit also can apply

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs, as well as empty trash cans and other waste containers
  • The candidates should be able to wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs
  • The candidates should be able to contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, perform minor repairs on appliances, and perform safety and security checks
  • The candidates should be able to supervise other workers, move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, and perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • The candidates should be able to clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures, and work with minimal supervision
