Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualifications
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years’
Equipment and machinery experience:Â Vegetable harvester, Fruit harvester
Type of crops:Â Mushrooms
Own tools/equipment:Â Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety:Â Criminal record check
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be physically demanding, and a repetitive tasker
- The candidates should be able to do other miscellaneous crop farming
- The candidates should be able to distinguish between colours
- The candidates should be able to stand, bend, crouch, and kneel for extended periods
- The candidates should be willing to for overtime
- The candidates should be able to handle weight Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- The candidates should be able to handle Hand-eye coordination
- The candidates should be able to handle heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to work at heights, in wet/damp area, odors, and dusty areas
Other Requirements:
- The candidate should be flexible, and reliable
- The candidates should have values and ethics
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to hand-harvesting vegetables
- The candidates should be able to pick row and orchard crops
- The candidates should be able to sort and pack fruits and vegetables
- The candidates should be able to load, unload and transfer crates, supplies and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
