Salary: $16.71 hourly for 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Term or contract Full time
Location: Pickering, ON
Shifts: Day, Weekend, Shift, Early Morning
Type of crops: Apples, blueberries, cherries, field berries, garlic, onions, orchard fruit, raspberries, tomatoes, potatoes, vegetables, and vineyard
Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 7 months
Equipment and machinery experience: Farm truck, fruit harvester, loader, tractor, vegetable harvester, and hand tools
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks
- The candidates should be capable of handling heavy loads
- The candidates should be able to handle physically demanding tasks
- The candidates should have good manual dexterity
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods
- The candidates should be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling
- The candidates should be able to walk for extended periods
- The candidates should be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs)

Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to apply the technique of hoeing between the rows, cut agricultural crops, and divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots
- The candidates should be able to hand-harvest vegetables, pack fruits and vegetables, and pick row and orchard crops
- The candidates should be able to shear and shape trees and plants with a knife, sort fruits and vegetables, and write daily basic progress reports
- The candidates should be able to clean the work area, harvest crops, and load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce, livestock, and poultry
- The candidates should be able to operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, and examine products for quality and their readiness for the market
