Salary: $23.57 hourly for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Peace River, AB
Shifts: Rural area and nursing home/home for the aged

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, Nursing Aide Certificate, and Health Care Aide Certificate

  • The candidates should prioritize client satisfaction and demonstrate a strong client focus, possess efficient interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues, and exhibit flexibility in their approach to tasks and situations
  • The candidates should demonstrate reliability in fulfilling their responsibilities and be team players, fostering collaboration within the team

Other Requirements:

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to supply and empty bedpans, take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, and serve meal trays and feed patients
  • The candidates should be able to weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments, and make beds and maintain patients’ rooms
  • The candidates should be able to supervise patients’ exercise routines, bathe, dress, and groom patients, and transport patients between care facilities
  • The candidates should be able to transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, answer call signals to determine patients’ needs, and collect specimens
