Requirements:
Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Credentials: Nursing Aide Certificate and Health Care Aide Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check, Immunization records, and Tuberculosis test
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to work in a fast-paced environment, be prepared for repetitive tasks, and have attention to detail
- The candidates should be able to stand for extended periods and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should demonstrate client focus, show dependability, and possess efficient interpersonal skills
- The candidates should have excellent oral communication, demonstrate flexibility, and show initiative
- The candidates should exhibit interpersonal awareness, have good judgement, and be organized
- The candidates should exhibit reliability, be a team player, and demonstrate patience
Candidate Status:
- Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
- Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
- If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outdoor recreational activities, assist with cleaning, sterilizing, setting up, and assembling of medical equipment, and assist with maintenance and repair of medical equipment
- The candidates should be able to perform other duties related to patient care and comfort, perform other duties related to personal care, and supply and empty bed pans
- The candidates should be able to serve meal trays and feed patients, weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, and deliver messages, reports, requisitions, and specimens between departments
- The candidates should be able to make beds and maintain patients’ rooms, supervise patients’ exercise routines, and maintain inventory of supplies
- The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and groom patients, transport patients between care facilities, and transport patients in wheelchair or stretcher
- The candidates should be able to answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
