Work setting: Nursing home/home for the aged

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years 
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in their work and be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking during work hours
  • The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling as necessary

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should have a strong focus on client satisfaction and be dependable in fulfilling their responsibilities
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills for effective communication and exhibit excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should demonstrate flexibility in adapting to changing circumstances and exercise good judgment in decision-making
  • The candidates should be organized in their approach to tasks and responsibilities and demonstrate reliability in completing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • The candidates should be team players, capable of collaborating effectively with others

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, weigh, lift, turn, and position patients, and administer suppositories, colonic irrigations, and enemas
  • The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and groom patients, transport patients in a wheelchair or stretcher, and answer call signals to determine patients’ needs
  • The candidates should be able to collect specimens and administer first aid in emergency situations
