Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Candidate Status:

• Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
• Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada

Responsibilities:

• The candidates should be able to supply and empty bedpans as required
• The candidates should be able to take patients’ blood pressure, temperature, and pulse accurately
• The candidates should be able to serve meal trays and assist with feeding patients who require assistance
• The candidates should be able to weigh, lift, turn, and position patients safely and appropriately
• The candidates should be able to make beds and maintain patients’ rooms in a clean and orderly manner
• The candidates should be able to supervise patients’ exercise routines as directed by healthcare professionals
• The candidates should be able to maintain inventory of supplies and ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
• The candidates should be able to bathe, dress, and groom patients with sensitivity and respect for their dignity
• The candidates should be able to accompany patients on outside recreational activities and provide support as needed
• The candidates should be able to administer first aid in emergency situations following established protocols and procedures
