Salary: $30.25 to $33.50 hourly (To be negotiated) for 28 to 65 hours per week
Employment Type: Seasonal employment Part time leading to full time
Location: Kitchener, ON
Shifts: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, On Call, Early Morning, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation, valid driver’s licence, and public transportation is not available
Requirements:
Languages:Â Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates don’t need standard educational qualification such as degree, certificate or diploma
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Area of work experience:Â Material handling, snow removal, and stock piling
Type of heavy equipment operated:Â Backhoe excavator, loader, loader, operate forklift, front end loader, and bobcats
Truck or equipment experience:Â Snowplough
Vehicle and equipment experience:Â De-icing sprayers
Credentials:Â Forklift Operator Certification
Security and safety:Â Driving record check (abstract)
Physical Requirements:
- The candidates should be able to pay attention to detail and work in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- The candidates should have flexibility
Responsibilities:
- The candidates should be able to operate heavy equipment, clean and lubricate equipment, and refill equipment tanks
- The candidates should be able to complete onboard and other logs, conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, and secure special attachments to equipment
- The candidates should be able to operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment, operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, and perform minor repairs to equipment
