Koala T Care Daycare Inc is a trusted childcare center offering nurturing and educational programs for children. Specializing in early childhood development, our daycare provides a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow. With a team of dedicated educators, we focus on fostering social, emotional, and cognitive skills through play-based learning and interactive activities. The candidates selected for the vacancy will be required to start the work as soon as possible.

Salary: $18.00 to $19.00 hourly (To be negotiated) for 35 to 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Permanent employment Full time
Location: Hagersville, ON
Shifts: Day, Morning
Transportation information: Own transportation
Work setting: Child care centre, rural area, kindergarten, before and after school programs, and daycare centre or nursery school
Target audience: Newborns (including expecting mothers) and infants (3 months – 11 months)

Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Candidates don’t need experience although having experience is an asset
Credentials: First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate
Security and safety: Basic security clearance, immunization records, and vulnerable sector check

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be comfortable working outdoors and be able to work in noisy environments
  • The candidates should not smoke and be able to work in air-conditioned environments
  • The candidates should be capable of handling repetitive tasks efficiently and be prepared for physically demanding work
  • The candidates should be comfortable with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, as well as bending, crouching, and kneeling

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should prioritize punctuality and demonstrate dependability
  • The candidates should possess efficient interpersonal skills and exhibit excellent oral communication abilities
  • The candidates should display flexibility in their approach to tasks and have interpersonal awareness
  • The candidates should exercise sound judgment and demonstrate reliability
  • The candidates should be team players and uphold strong values and ethics
  • The candidates should exhibit excellent written communication skills

Candidate Status:

  • Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
  • Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
  • If Candidates are unable to fulfill above mentioned requirements, don’t apply for the position

Responsibilities:

  • The candidates should be able to bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers, as well as guide and assist them in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • The candidates should be able to engage in storytelling activities with children, lead activities such as teaching songs and preparing crafts, and encourage children to express creativity through various means
  • The candidates should be able to assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, and observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems, preparing reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors
  • The candidates should be able to plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children, and establish guidelines for behavior, as well as attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • The candidates should be able to plan and organize activities for school-age children in child-care programs before and after regular school hours, supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants, and establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children
