Hardenberg & Sons Farm Management Ltd. is a family owned, mixed farming operation consisting of cow/calf herd, feedlot, and irrigation farming. Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 7 months to less than 1 year
Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system, Milking system (automated)
Area of specialization: Cattle breeding, Cattle genomics, Beef cattle, Dairy cattle

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidates should be physically demanding
  • The candidates should be able to sit, stand, walk for extended periods

Other Requirements:

  • The candidates should be organized, should have excellent oral communication, and be able to work as a team player


  • The candidates should be able to feed inventory, do handling animals and monitoring animal health
  • The candidates should be able to assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and bio-security procedures, provide agricultural crop services such as plowing, irrigating, cultivating, spraying or harvesting, co-ordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers
  • The candidates should be able to develop work schedules and establish procedures, ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed, formulate feeding program, maintain livestock performance records
  • The candidates should be able to maintain quality control and production records, recognize and treat certain livestock health problems, select livestock for sale
  • The candidates should be able to maintain work records and logs, operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, perform general farm duties
