Requirements:

Languages: Candidates must have knowledge of the English Language
Education: Candidates need standard educational qualifications such as a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
Experience: Candidates should have experience of 1 to less than 2 years
Credentials: First Aid Certificate And Personal Support Worker Certificate
Security and safety: Criminal record check

Physical Requirements:

The candidates should be able to perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and kneeling, manage a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and perform physically demanding tasks
The candidates should be able to handle repetitive tasks, and lift up to 9 kg (20 lbs)

Other Requirements:

The candidates should be punctual, client-focused, and dependable
The candidates should be flexible, take initiative, and able to exercise judgement
The candidates should be organized, reliable, patient, and honest

Responsibilities:

The candidates should be able to administer bedside and personal care, administer medications, and assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene
The candidates should be able to assist in regular exercise, e.g., walk, change non-sterile dressings, and feed or assist in feeding
The candidates should be able to launder clothing and household linens, perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, and provide companionship
The candidates should be able to provide personal care, and prepare and serve nutritious meals

Candidate Status:

Candidate must be a Canadian Citizen or temporary or permanent resident of Canada
Candidate must have legal authorization (Work Permit) to work in Canada
